Let’s cut right to the chase here. Zdeno Chara dressed up as a rabbit is one of the best things we’ve ever seen. It’s great to know that even the big guy has a soft spot and is willing to put on a bunny onesie.

All of a sudden, Chara towering over you isn’t as terrifying. Although, we can’t help but feel some Donnie Darko vibes.

What’s the context of Chara standing tall in a pink rabbit costume? Well it’s actually not Easter related at all. Back in 2011, Zdeno Chara and other members of the Bruins took a visit to a children’s hospital in Boston ahead of Halloween.

Chara of course was dressed as a pink rabbit. Other notable costumes were Brad Marchand as the nutcracker, Jordan Caron as a crayon and Adam McQuaid as Fred Flintstone.

Every year around Halloween, the Bruins take a trip to the children’s hospital to spread some joy. It almost always results in some great images.

To infinity and beyond! 🎃 👻

There’s still no better picture than Chara’s ‘Easter’ bunny.
