Generally speaking, hockey benches are pretty barebones places. Hard surfaces to ensure easy cleaning and sterilizing, uncomfortable seats, angry coaches… overall, it can be pretty unforgiving.
Saying that, the BarDown team has been working really hard. We think they deserve a little upgrade. Or maybe a huge one.
With BarDown team member Eric Kirk bringing his brainchild to life, we created the world most luxurious bench. We aren’t just talking about the Laz-E-Boys that are installed upon the player’s arrival, we couldn’t stop there.
Instead, we added another element to the bench each time the team scored, adding incentive for a good game. Safe to say, the plan worked – the boys wasted no time in scoring their upgrades.
As if bellhops and recliners weren’t enough, here’s the list of upgrades the boys were able to secure.
Upgrade #1: Waiters to sharpen skates and tape sticks, and later serve food and drinks.
Upgrade #2: A bartender to make drinks from a customized drink menu.
Upgrade #3: A barber to supply in-game haircuts.
Upgrade #4: A masseuse for some in-game massage therapy.
Upgrade #5: A licenced Hibachi chef
