The Boston Bruins are moving on to the second round of the NHL playoffs after eliminating the Toronto Maple Leafs for the second straight season. The Leafs had a chance to put the series away on their home ice on Sunday afternoon, but thanks to the first set of back-to-back wins in the series the Bruins are moving on.
Although they were in the same situation last season, winning never gets old, especially in the postseason, and Zdeno Chara and Brad Marchand proved that in a video message for Bruins fans after the game.
Both Marchand and Chara were part of the Bruins team that won the Stanley Cup in 2010-11, and they know all about winning in the playoffs, but that didn’t stop them from celebrating their first round series win like it was their first playoff win.
They weren’t the only members of the Bruins who took to social media to celebrate the win, as David Pastrnak had a message for Justin Bieber after the win.
