What a year it’s been for Pascal Siakam, right? From playing a key role with the Raptors’ Bench Mob last year, he’s taken another leap to becoming a fringe All-Star as well as a Most Improved Player finalist.
How wild would it be if you told yourself last year that, in 12 months, Siakam would be posting 30-point games in the Finals against the Warriors?
No doubt, Siakam’s star is on the rise, and it seems that soon, he’ll have the gear to match. In early April, Siakam reportedly filed a trademark for “SPICY P” to use on his own branded apparel — as well as, more interestingly, condiments.
Of course, when your nickname is Spicy P and everyone already associates you with the hot pepper emoji, then branding your own hot sauce is basically a gimme. Still, though, we love it. Who wouldn’t want to try some of Spicy P’s hot sauce?
In fact, some folks have already had a chance. With Siakam in the running for MIP this year, the Raptors decided to send a personalized gift to award voters in the media, as is common practice. As a result, a couple bottles of Spicy P’s Hot Sauce already exist out there.
Now, let’s get to this to the general public, ASAP!
