Around the world, many spectator sports have gone on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the WWE has chosen to instead close its events to the public and host them instead at their training facility in Orlando.

As a result, viewers for Fridayโ€™s episode of SmackDown witnessed a pretty strange sight. To their credit, wrestlers continued to make their dramatic ring entrances, but it was definitely a jarring visual with the empty stands surrounding them.

The tag team of Sasha Banks and Bayley were the first wrestlers to come out, and they played around the non-existent audience with some tongue-in-cheek gestures.

Especially for wrestlers who still have to perform for a TV audience, the transition from packed stands to an empty arena has to be an awkward one, and you have to give them props for trying to work around these bizarre circumstances.

Obviously, the wrestlers have to continue doing their thing, but yeah, it got pretty weird.
