It’s a busy time in both the NBA and the NFL right now for two very different reasons. The NFL is right in the middle of the season and the playoff races are starting to heat up. In the NBA, free agency is now open, and stars are negotiating, signing, or re-signing with teams.
It's safe to say both Adrian Wojnarowski and Adam Schefter are very busy as a result.
“Woj” is ESPN’s NBA insider, and he’s ascended to the very top of the NBA news breaking rankings. If Woj says it, you can basically take that to the bank. If someone else says it, we hope to have it confirmed by Woj.
“Schefty” is ESPN’s NFL insider, and he is similarly respected across the football world in terms of breaking news.
During Sunday Night Football, in the heat of NBA free agency, there was a funny moment between the two when Schefter randomly broke NBA news.
We have no idea why Schefter got the scoop on the Bembry news, but it’s hilarious that he tweeted that out. On a Sunday, no less!
It didn’t take long for Woj to respond. With the news being about the Toronto Raptors, Woj hilariously referenced the CFL in his response.
Essentially, Woj is saying “get out of my dojo,” but in a much more comical way. The Raps are Canada’s basketball team, not their football team… come on, Schefty!
The response understandably blew past Schefter’s in terms of likes, retweets, and all forms of engagement. In other words, Schefter got "ratio'd" by Woj in mere seconds.
We’re sure the two will get past this just fine.
