Recently, rumours started circulating the NHL that Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta was trying to bring an NHL team to Houston.

He sent out a tweet confirming that he has had interest and that they were in the very early stages of β€œevaluating what opportunities may exist”. As always, one of the first things we think about when we hear about new franchises is what their jerseys/logo will look like. So, borrowing from the LA Chargers recent logo change, we just decided to see what it would look like if an NHL team ripped off an existing Houston team’s logo.

Let us know which one is your favourite @BarDown.

Which logo would you choose if Houston gets an NHL team? πŸ€”

As we pointed out in a recent post, there has already been a professional hockey team in Houston before. When the WHA was still around, Gordie Howe actually played on a team called the Houston Aeros. That name was also adopted by an AHL team up until three years ago when they moved to Iowa.

We doubt a new team would use anything like this, but maybe this could be a throwback jersey as well.

Will Houston get an #NHL franchise? πŸ‘€
