Hello and welcome back to “NFL off-field drama!”, your favourite new source of entertainment this fall!

In what has been an off-season of holdouts and hissy-fits, there may be no more dramatic storyline than that of Antonio Brown. Now a member of the New England Patriots, also known as the Evil Empire of the NFL, Brown has once again found himself in hot water.

He may not be the only one, though. Tom Brady also managed to ruffle a few feathers with a couple tweets during the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday Night Football matchup.

To be fair, the feathers that would be ruffled by these tweets probably aren’t those of the general public. Watching the middle part of that game was extremely sluggish at times, sometimes for questionable or relatively soft flags.

The feathers that may have been ruffled (okay, last time we use that phrase) would be the officials, who Tom Brady was criticizing in the tweets. Or so it seemed…

Speaking to the media ahead of the Pats’ Week 3 matchup with the New York Jets, Brady insisted that he was not criticizing the officials.

Well there you have it, he wasn’t criticizing the officials! He was just… um… ah, we don’t want to talk about it.
