Whop Philyor's name went viral on Saturday afternoon, but not because of his performance on the field.

The Indiana Hoosiers faced off against the Michigan Wolverines in a must-win game for Jim Harbaugh.

The Hoosiers came out blazing with the lead early into the first quarter. The targeted favourite for the day was wide receiver Whop Philyor who went 11 for 79 yards but that isn't why he went viral.

Whop Philyor, who's full name is Mister Elias De’Angelo Philyor, goes by "Whop" because of his committed love for Burger King's signature Whopper burger.

Philyor's father would take him to Burger King when he was younger and every time he went, he wanted the exact same thing, a Whopper.

His dad jokingly told him that if he kept eating them he'd eventually turn into one and well, he kind of did. His dad started calling him Whopper and the nickname ended up sticking with him to this day.

The Indiana Hoosiers beat the Michigan Wolverines 38-21 on Saturday afternoon.
