It’s not every day you see a team turn a triple play, but when they do it’s a thing of beauty.

On Wednesday night the Chicago White Sox went up against the Houston Astros in the third game of a four-game series and jumped out to an early lead. In the bottom of the third inning the Astros got a glorious opportunity to tie the game and take the lead as they put runners on first and second with zero outs, but that’s when the White Sox’s infield stepped up in a big way.

It was one of the more routine triple plays but it was still a beautiful thing to watch as it silenced the crowd in a hurry.

The triple play happens to be the first one of the young 2019 season after there were only two turned last season. As for the White Sox, they seem to know a thing or two about turning triple plays as they managed to pull off three of them during the 2016 season.
