Summer is upon us and you know what that means…FOOTBALL SEASON! Okay, we’re joking but at the same time it seems once the sun starts to shine all people can think about is football. With OTAs and offseason drama everyone has their eyes set on that first week in September.
That being said the NFL released their schedule for week 1 and there are SO MANY matchups we are excited for but let’s give you our top 3.
Buccaneers Vs. Cowboys
Yes, the season opener is always a great game but to have the Super Bowl champs host a game against the Cowboys will be a star studded event. Not to mention the possible return of Das Prescott which will have the league salivating. Two stud offences going at it will be a sight to see for game 1 of the NFL season and we can’t wait.
Browns Vs. Chiefs
A rematch of their playoff game last year this game is going to be a battle. Not only did the Browns upgrade their defensive line with the addition of Jadeveon Clowney but their offence is getting back one of the best weapons in football in Odell Beckham Jr. The Chiefs also beefed up their offensive line this season to the relief of Patrick Mahomes. This one was a close game in the postseason so we can only expect it to be a duel to the end in their first game of the season.
This last one is a wild card but we’re here to have fun.
Cardinals Vs. Titans
Seeing J.J. Watt AND A.J. Green in new uniforms with newly minted tanning back James Conner as well is simply something we’re intrigued to see. Also, the return of Chandler Jones renders that defensive line to be a problem, will Derrick Henry be able to churn those legs past the Cardinals D? Also is A.J. Brown going to step into superstardom this season after his spectacular finish to his last campaign? Glimpses to the answers of the questions will prove to show themselves in this matchup.
