If you’re a Winnipeg Jets fan who has always wanted to take a trip down to Las Vegas, now is the perfect time to book your trip.
The Jets clinched their first trip to the Western Conference Final with a massive 5-1 victory over the Nashville Predators in a crucial Game 7 and now WestJet is stepping up to make sure every Jets fan who wants to make the trip to Nevada will be able to go.
With Winnipeg now Western Conference Final bound, the Canadian airline has decided to add more direct flights from Winnipeg to Las Vegas to their daily flight schedule as a way to help as many Jets fans as possible during the team’s historic run. The airline made the official announcement once Game 7 wrapped up and part of the initiative is thanks in part to John Weatherill, WestJet’s Vice President, Pricing and Revenue Management.
"WestJet is thrilled to support the Winnipeg hockey community and our WestJetters in their love of Canada's game," said John Weatherill, WestJet Vice President, Pricing and Revenue Management and Chief Winnipeg Hockey Fan. "We look forward to flying the spirit of Canadian hockey to Las Vegas and welcoming fans on board our jets for a convenient nonstop flight."
WestJet’s special flights will operate in both directions – after all, the Jets fans will need to return home – and will run from May 17 to May 20.
