On Saturday, Hamilton won the pole during at the Italian Grand Prix qualifiers at Autodromo Nazionale Monza, extending his record to seven poles at the track.

Just a day later, Hamilton sets yet another track record with the fastest lap in F1 history of 1:18.887 seconds, averaging 264.362 kilometers per hour at the Italian Grand Prix.
