Projected first overall pick Jack Hughes put on a show for those watching USA Hockey’s All-American Prospects Game at the Xcel Energy Center.
The human highlight-reel notched a goal and an assist for Team Leopold and finished with a game-high eight shots. Hughes’ goal came off an own goal aftr he won a face-off, but that’s not what had fans talking on social media afterwards.
Late in the third period, Hughes lead up rush up ice where he then rotated his body for a spin-o-rama after completely the zone entry. Hughes tried to set up a teammate, but the pass was just out of his reach.
But Hughes didn’t stop there. After the puck went back up ice, Hughes took control and weaved his way through the opponets’ zone before cutting down the far side and chipping one on net. He then recircled the zone, before putting his stick between his legs. Shortly after, Hughes then circled and dragged a quick wrister on next.
Have a watch for yourself (No. 21 in dark).
