Even if you drafted up the perfect script, this wouldn't have matched it.

The Toronto Raptors were in Atlanta to battle the Hawks on Wednesday night where they took on a familiar old friend in Vince Carter.

The Raps defeated the Hawks 124-108, but the bigger story occurred right at the end of the game.

In his 21st NBA season, the 41-year-old became just the 22nd player in NBA history to reach 25,000 points and it came in the most fitting way possible.

A slam against the team he started out with that turned him into a dunking legend, all while coming in the final second of the game.

If that's not classic Vinsanity, then we're not sure what is.

Coming into career game No. 1423, Carter needed 13 points to reach that mark. He came off the bench and finished with 14 points on the night to bring his current career total to 25,001.

Vince Carter, Mr. 25,000.

He's no longer the high-flying dunking machine that he used to be, but the former Rap had solidified himself as one of the league's top veterans and is currently the oldest and longest-tenured player in the NBA.

When the final buzzer went, Carter was given the game ball as a gift, where he then saluted the fans and was congratulated by members of the Raps and Hawks.
