It’s that time of year!
Everyone’s a little happier, nobody is thinking about just how cold it’s about to get quite yet, and generally speaking there is a feeling of generosity in the air.
Tampa Bay star defenceman Victor Hedman was feeling that generosity when he decided to treat his hometown roots to a special little surprise. Just a few days before Christmas, his hometown team OSK received a postcard from their hero that continues to raise the bar as an NHL defender. It wasn’t just a hey, how are ya.
The kids on his hometown team would certainly know all about the successful blueliner, so to receive a gift like this from him is extra special.
You wonder if sometimes 15 years down the line we’ll be hearing a story of some NHLer that came from Sweden and considered Hedman an idol. Maybe they’ll remember this exact event.
