What a week for Vasek Pospisil. The Vancouver native advanced through to the Open Sud de France final, dispatching tournament No. 2 David Goffin as well as No. 3 and fellow Canadian Denis Shapovalov along the way.
So, yes, he can have a little maple syrup straight from the bottle. As a treat. Cameras — and his fellow countryman Felix Auger-Aliassime — caught Pospisil doing one of the most Canadian things we’ve seen during a tennis match.
Posipisil lost in the final to No. 1 Gael Monfils, but with a strong showing at the tournament nonetheless, his ATP ranking will rise from its current No. 132 to just outside the top 100.
