The Dallas Stars and the Nashville Predators opened 2020 with the Winter Classic and the first few minutes did not go as planned for Corey Perry and the hosts.
After just 38 seconds of ice time, Perry’s day came to an end as he was handed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for elbowing Ryan Ellis. The 34-year-old’s walk of shame back to the room ended up going viral and was watched millions of times by hockey fans, and now some specific fans are trying to own a piece of history from the game.
Corey Perry’s game-worn jersey happens to be one of the few items up for bid on the NHL Auction page and it’s already received 28 bids. When it was first posted earlier in the day on Thursday it was hovering around $750. Now, it’s a couple hundred dollars away from hitting the $3,000 mark.
Different jerseys are slowly being added to the website, but Perry’s is still leading the way.
