Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had the definition of a breakout season in 2021 in his third year with the Toronto Blue Jays. All the hype, all the anticipation, all the potential finally rose to the top, and Vladdy Jr. immediately became one of the most dangerous hitters in the whole league.

His 48 home runs on the year tied him for 1st in the league with Salvador Perez, but it wasn’t just power. He also hit for a .311 batting average, which tied him with Michael Brantley for 5th on the year. His swing – eerily identical to that of his slugging father – was featured all year long on highlight tapes across the league.

It wasn’t just his on-field dominance that entertained fans this year, however. His personality continues to shine through as one of the most fun players in the league aside from the stellar hitting.

That’s what makes us think Vladdy MUST have been trolling when he picked out an outfit to accept the Hank Aaron Award for the American League’s most outstanding offensive player. He can’t possibly have accidentally ended up in an outfit so similar to The Rock’s iconic turtle neck and gold chain look, could he?

Now, only one question remains…

Who wore it better?!
