New York Islanders forward Anthony Beauvillier was apparently feeling a little extra confident this past Christmas.
The 22-year-old isn’t one to use Twitter very often. In fact, before last night he had tweeted just twice from his account since the start of October. But Beauvillier decided to use the application to shoot his shot at one of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities… Anna Kendrick! Seemingly out of nowhere, the 2015 28th overall pick randomly said hi to her (yes, that was it), and quickly went viral for it.

In fairness, Kendrick is in the Christmas movie Noelle… maybe Beau just finished watching it or something? Besides, it’s not like he’s the first NHLer to shoot his shot on Twitter. Who could possibly forget Taylor Hall risking it all for Selena Gomez?
Kendrick is just a tad bit bigger of a deal than Beauvillier but hey, maybe she’ll catch notice of this and give a response? You never know…
