Tyler Herro lived up to his name on Wednesday night when he played the role of “unlikely hero” for the Miami Heat.
With a hugely important Game 4 on tap, everyone was looking in Jimmy Butler’s direction after a couple tough games. It turns out they maybe should have been looking in Herro’s direction, as the 20-year-old managed to hang 37 points on the Boston Celtics to give the Heat a 3-1 series lead.
The performance was the 2nd highest playoff point total ever dropped by a player 20 years old of younger.
Following the game, Herro managed to drop one of the coolest quotes all postseason, before being attacked in the most loving way possible by teammate Goran Dragic.
Certainly a night Herro will never forget, but he’ll still try to replicate it on Friday for Game 5.
