There’s always rumours floating around about professional athletes but they usually tend to die off over a period of time. However, that’s not the case for the rumour about Phil Kessel and his love for hot dogs.

During his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs, people were convinced that Kessel enjoyed his fair share of street meat whenever the Leafs were playing at home and joked about him having his own personal hot dog vendor. To cap it all off, the three-time NHL All-Star mocked his critics by posing with some hot dogs after he captured his second straight Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

On Wednesday morning, one of Phil Kessel’s former teammates and roommate Tyler Bozak joined Michael Landsberg and Carlo Colaiacovo on Landsberg in the Morning and revealed the truth about Kessel’s rumoured love for hot dogs and also touched on their close relationship that people also joked about.

There you have it, Kessel only enjoys his hot dogs on the golf course.
