Like players and coaches, referees have a tendency to overreact to certain things that happen during a game and we saw the perfect example of that Wednesday night during a college basketball game between UConn and Tulsa.
In the second half of the game, both coaches were given questionable technicals, but if you thought the first technicals that were called on Dan Hurley Frank Haith were questionable, wait until you see what they were thrown out for.
Hurley and Haith attempted to SHAKE HANDS and were given their second technical fouls of the game, thus leading to an ejection.
Rather than let the coaches try and diffuse the situation, the refs just added more fuel to the fire. UConn was down double digits when both coaches were tossed, but they played inspired from that point on and only ended up losing by 6.
