It feels like just just yesterday that a young Matt Harvey was the talk of the town in New York, serving as the ace pitcher in a young rotation that was ready to dominate baseball. But as of Thursday, Harvey is no longer a Met and his future is quite unknown.

After multiple rocky seasons in New York and a horrendous start to the 2018 season, the Mets made the decision to send Matt Harvey down to the minor leagues to work on getting back to where he used to be. Harvey's answer? NOPE!

As you may remember, Harvey's career in New York started out like a dream, as he boasted an ERA south of 2.75 in three straight seasons and racked up a huge amount of strikeouts in the Big Apple. But after having surgery to alleviate thoracic outlet syndrome between his neck and shoulder in 2016, Harvey was never the same, posting a 6.70 ERA in 2017 and a 7.00 ERA this season.

The news was met with some surprise on Twitter, as Harvey's fall from grace seems to have happened seemingly overnight.

If you had said that this was the way that Matt Harvey's career in New York would end 4 years ago, no one would have believed you. And yet...here we are. Where do you think Harvey will end up next?
