And just like that… SPLASH! History is made.

Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Steph Curry – who, we may remind you, is still just 33 years old – passed the great Ray Allen atop the NBA’s career 3PM list. Going into Tuesday evening’s game against the New York Knicks, Curry trailed Allen by just one bucket from behind the arc. He wasted almost no time in tying it up at 2,973.

Not long after that, Curry set the record. While he was playing an away game at Madison Square Garden, Curry’s history-making splash was met with a raucous roar from the crowd.

It didn’t take long for the internet to react, with congratulations and praise flowing in from all corners of the basketball world and beyond.
