The internet is a ruthless place, and they show no mercy even to sports teams in need. The Arizona Coyotes got off to a historically bad start, opening the season with a putrid 0-10-1 record. If anyone could have used a day off (or month) from the wrath of the internet, it’s the ‘Yotes.
Unfortunately for Arizona, that’s not how it works. When the Coyotes finally managed to win a game, the Twitter sphere reacted with a big sarcastic congratulations.
First off, in Arizona Coyotes fashion they blew a two goal lead in the final minute of the third. This started things off for the salivating franchise followers.
Luckily, the Coyotes managed to squeak out the OT win with an Alex Goligoski goal. This triggered another response from the merciless internet.
Hopefully for the ‘Yotes it will ease up from here.
