The Houston Astros were allowed to keep their World Series victory, but a lot of people believe they shouldn't have. Over the past few months an investigation has revealed that the team was using cameras to help steal signs. Watching the tape back, there are clear "bangs" from a dugout trashcan indicating off-speed pitches.
The fallout has been very public, but it all came to a head on Thursday when the the team came forward to apologize for the scandal. We heard from Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman, but most people are talking about Jim Crane who stated that the sign stealing had no impact on the game, before backtracking a bit after reporters pressed him.
There was some remorse shown, but it wasn't good enough in the eyes of many. The 'Stros were already in line for a proper Twitter roasting, but the internet REALLY teed off this time.
