There’s no denying that the time for change is now, and a lot of things that used to fly in the past are no longer tolerable should we wish to be really serious about change.
Recently, we’ve seen many teams with controversial names address the fact that they’re going to evaluate and consider a change, with one of them being Cleveland’s MLB team.
In light of the change that’s probably immanent, fans have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions on what the new name should be, and one in particular keeps coming up.
The Cleveland Midges is the name of choice for a lot of fans, in honuor of the bugs who were the true Cleveland heroes in the 2007 playoffs.
There’s definitely a lot of opportunity for good logos here, and the name has some good meaning and memories behind it.
