The Canadiens’ run to the Stanley Cup Finals has been nothing short of unpredictable and extraordinary, but you knew that already.

They came back against all odds to defeat the Maple Leafs in 7, they dropped every jaw around the NHL when they swept the Winnipeg Jets, and they seemed to accomplish the impossible when they knocked off the Golden Knights in 6 games to meet Tampa in the Finals.

Then, it looked like their luck caught up with them. Tampa stormed out of the gates winning 3 straight games, but the Canadiens bit back at home last night to make the series 3-1 and send it back to Florida.

Like we said, the whole situation has been unpredictable, but isn’t that fitting for this past year and a half as a whole? The unpredictable and wild has become routine, and in true 2020-2021 fashion, there’s a literal hurricane headed for Tampa ahead of Game 5.

Tropical Storm Elsa is bringing heavy rain, wind and flooding through parts of the US, and is predicted to touch down in Tampa on Wednesday.

The same day the Lightning are set to play for the Cup on home soil.

That’s some serious stuff! When asked about it, Canadiens head coach Dominique Ducharme echoed our sentiments. Is anything really surprising anymore?

We’re hoping for everyone’s safety whatever the case may be!
