Jaguars fans have to be absolutely losing their minds following a tweet from the projected number one pick at the 2021 NFL Draft.
As Jags fans gathered together to buy Trevor Lawrence and his wife Marissa some wedding gifts from their online registry as an early “welcome” gift ahead of the Draft, they were also able to raise a great deal of money for charity due to the abundance of outgiving the fanbase put on display last week.
Along with the smart toaster and other gifts, Jags fans raised $11,203 for what started as a simple joke and turned into a fundraiser for charity.
Though within Lawrence’s tweet, he nods that he hopes to be a part of the Jacksonville community soon with a nice pair of praying hands.
We mean sure it’s pretty much set in stone that the Clemson star QB will be taken first with Jacksonville having the first pick, but it’s kind of wild that he pretty much is already dived right into the Jags family before it becomes official on April 29th.
Now let's cross our fingers that Jacksonville does select Lawrence and not Justin Fields or Zach Wilson or this tweet will go down as a pretty ice-cold take.
Either way, what an absolute class act from the Lawrence’s!
