Okay, so, we’ve heard of Ka’Wine and Dine, which is a movement among Toronto restaurants pledging free food for life to Kawhi Leonard if he re-signs with the Raptors. That’s pretty neat!
It, uhh, only gets crazier from there. According to Narcity, CEO Simon Mass of Toronto real estate brokerage The Condo Store Realty Inc. is offering Kawhi his choice of several multi-million dollar value penthouse condos in downtown Toronto.
“We want to do what we can to ensure that our MVP stays in Toronto where he is loved and respected for being the 'best of the best' for the basketball-loving public of Toronto and Canada,” Mass said to Narcity.
“We are throwing everything we have at The Condo Store to show Kawhi how much we appreciate his efforts to date and his future commitment to Canada’s only NBA franchise,” he continued.
Let’s just say that we’ll believe this multi-million dollar gift when we see it, but wouldn’t this be a tantalizing benefit for Kawhi? He already owns an apartment in Toronto — which has convinced some Raptors fans that he intends to stay — but another one never hurts, right?
Here are photos of the apartments that Kawhi would supposedly get to pick from. Again, we’re greeting this all with some healthy skepticism (what level of super-rich do we have to be talking about for multi-million dollar penthouses to be treated like playthings!), but getting a glimpse at these luxury condos is never not interesting, right?
