The Toronto Raptors are NBA champions for the first time in franchise history and on Monday afternoon they spent the day celebrating and partying with hundreds of thousands of Raptors fans.
Despite falling behind schedule by nearly two hours, there were plenty of fans waiting for the guys to arrive at Nathan Phillips Square and they gave them the ultimate champions welcome.
After introducing the lineup, front office staff and coaching staff to all the fans in attendance, Toronto Mayor John Tory stepped in for a special presentation that involved him giving the key to the city to Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors.
Perhaps this will just be another thing to add to Kawhi’s ‘pros’ list when it comes to making his decision this upcoming offseason.
