Tony Romo is an all-around impressive person. While some people with laugh and say “Yeah but that fumbled snap” blah, blah, blah… zip it. He was considered to be one of the better quarterbacks in the league, and if injuries hadn’t derailed his career he would have had a shot at even more success. So what does he do then? He becomes a broadcaster, and a pretty darn good one at that.

Now he’s dipped his toes into an entirely new field that apparently he excels at as well – golf! Unfortunately for Romo, his PGA Tour debut did not go quite as well as he may have hoped. In fact, it couldn’t really have gone much worse.

Romo finished dead last. Through two rounds, Romo sat an undesirable 15-over (rounds of 77 and 82 on a par-72) and would not make the cut as a result. Saying that, he did make some good shots too.

If you are able to play even comparably with people who have been professional golfers for most of their lives, we’d say it’s still pretty impressive.

Of course not everybody was letting him off easy…

While the finish is justifiable, maybe we would enjoy watching him more if just just stuck to the headset and the press box.
