Tonight at the Oscars... the New York Knicks are tanking!

Let’s rewind. Before presenting a pair of writing awards with Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson decided to go off-script and update his buddy Spike Lee in the crowd on the night in sports. Lee is, of course, a fixture at Knicks games, and maybe Jackson thought that he was sharing good news when he said that the Knicks were actually winners on Sunday when they ended an 18-game home losing streak with a victory against the Spurs.

Looks like Lee is all aboard the tank for Zion Williamson. Totally understandable!

With his film ‘BlacKkKlansman’, Lee also won his first Oscar tonight in the best adapted screenplay category. It isn’t sports, but it’s hard not to get excited for the guy when this is how he’s coming on stage.
