After 20 seasons with the New England Patriots, most of us had probably taken it for granted that Tom Brady was going to go out a Patriots lifer.

But it looks like that could still change. The 42-year-old is entering free agency after bowing out in the wild-card round for the first time in over a decade. He’s made it clear that he has no intentions to retire, but a change of scenery could be in play.

Asked about the possibility of playing for a team other than the Patriots next season on Westwood One radio, Brady said he was going to be “open-minded about the process.”

Reports have emerged that Brady will take meetings with other teams in free agency this summer, although that may just be simple due diligence.

Of note, however: Brady was in Las Vegas for Saturday’s UFC 246 bout between Conor McGregor and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, and a photo of Brady crossing paths with Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis made the rounds on the internet. For what it’s worth, Dana White was fanning the flames on that particular rumour, as well.
