The Washington Capitals are Stanley Cup Champions, and there are so many fantastic storylines that have come out of it.
Everyone knows Alex Ovechkin’s story, and it is hands down one of the best moments in Cup history to see him finally raise the elusive trophy, but there are also stories that come out of it that you may not know as well. One of those stories is TJ Oshie.
When you think of TJ Oshie, you may remember that he was a priority for the Caps to re-sign. In the end, he delivered with what was one of the more important roles on the team. You may also think of the adorable videos that emerge with his two daughters, and remember how great of a dad he is. While he learned that from his own, and his father got to watch TJ and the Caps bring home the Cup on Thursday.
When talking about his pops, Oshie got very emotional, explaining how big of a moment it is for him and his dad, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
This is one that he definitely won’t be forgetting anytime soon.
