Tim Stutzle went 3rd overall in the 2020 NHL Draft Class, but sheesh… the young Ottawa Senator is quickly making his way to #1 in our hearts so far in his young career.
Stutzle prefaced his dive into the NHL by absolutely showing out for Germany in the 2021 World Junior Championship. He was in the conversation for tournament MVP despite playing on a team that never really threatened for Gold, and his highlight reel was extensive.
Ever since joining the Sens, Stutzle has been entertaining hockey fans in a variety of ways. Not only has he flashed the skill that got him drafted so high, but he’s also proved to be extremely “meme-able,” without meaning to be.
On Monday, Stutzle took a follow through high-stick while playing in the 3rd period against Edmonton. The whack actually broke his helmet, and while his #18 bucket was being repaired, Stutzle had to do a little helmet shopping among his scratched teammate’s helmets.
This could happen to literally any player, but for some reason it’s just so funny when it happens to “Jimmy Tkachuk.” This is just the latest entertaining video from Stutzle, but for such a young career he’s had a hilarious amount of content.
Our favourite is still this:
Or maybe…
Keep ‘em coming, Jimmy!
