Tim Anderson followed up an impressive rookie season with an even better sophomore season, and he managed to top that with a career-year by his third season. Now in his fourth MLB season, the Chicago White Sox shortstop is well on his way to posting career-highs right across the board and we’re only 39 games into the season.
The 26-year-old has always been outspoken and he made headlines earlier this year when he celebrated a massive home run with an even better bat flip, but he’s also using his rise to stardom and fame to help out others.
Earlier this month, Anderson pledged to donate $500 per stolen base to his anti-violence charity League of Leaders and he’s already swiped 12 bases in 36 games after stealing a career-high 26 bases last season.
So far Anderson has donated $6,000 to League of Leaders from his stolen bases as he sits second in the entire league and there’s a good chance we’ll see that number double, maybe even triple.
