Weili Zhang came into tonight as the heavy favourite to defend her title against Rose Namajunas at UFC 261. Namajunas AKA "Thug Rose" had an epic knockout against Zhang that sent the UFC world into a frenzy.
Thug Rose knows what it is like to be the underdog as she was in the same position in 2017 when she faced off against Joanna Jedrzejczyk who was undefeated up until her bought with Rose. Rose ended up losing her championship and tonight became the first person to reclaim her championship in UFC history.
She had lots of love coming from fellow fighters and athletes alike after her incredible knockout.
After the fight there was some camaraderie between champions as well.
