Video games have come a very long way over the years, especially sports video games.
If you take a quick glance at the screen while someone is playing a sports video game in 2017, you might mistake it for the actual thing. However, that wasn’t always the case.
8-Bit video games were closely associated with sports. From the classic ICE HOCKEY to Blades of Steel, hockey has always been represented nicely. However, the broadcast point of view was never really included in the old school video games, so we decided to showcase the media in our very own “Hockey Panel”.
James Duthie, Bob McKenzie, Darren Dreger and Aaron Ward got the 8-Bit makeover in BarDown’s “Hockey Panel” and the TSN Quizmaster even makes a guest appearance in the video.
