As COVID-19 continues to get worse, growing concern lies for people that are unable to access or afford essential resources. A large chunk of the population has been either laid off or let go as a result of businesses being forced to shut down, and a lot of people are at a loss for what to do.
Luckily people like New York Islanders goaltender Thomas Greiss exist.
Greiss and his family reached out the general public to make an incredibly generous offer on Sunday. With supplies to give, Greiss wanted to ensure that nobody was going to sleep hungry, and he also ensured privacy and no judgment.
Needless to say, Greiss’ comment section quickly filled up with gratitude. No word on how the supply and demand has carried out so far, but it’s an incredibly kind gesture no matter how you slice it.
