Either this is some weird coincidence or the Seattle Kraken’s logo designer took a business trip to a certain Vancouver hotel and happened to catch sight of its logo.
Okay, totally kidding about the second part but this is a little weird. Reddit User Rad380 pointed out that the hotel they live at in Vancouver looks exactly like the Seattle Kraken’s. And they’re right! Minus the red eye (and colours, of course), The 'S', which stands for ‘Sylvia Hotel’ is essentially the exact same. Which is also completely ironic considering the Canucks are easily going to be Seattle’s biggest rival when they start playing games in the 2021-22 regular season.

The first one is a little less squidy (if that’s what you want to call it?) but they’re essentially the same thing. According to the Sylvia’s website, the building has been running since 1912. So clearly it’s been around just a little longer than the Kraken.
Who knows, they probably have absolutely nothing to do with each other. But that doesn’t make this any less strange!
