Get pumped, Anaheim Ducks fans. You’ve got an incredible player on the way.
Trevor Zegras put the world on notice during the 2020 World Junior Championship when he flexed his elite playmaking ability to the tune of 9 assists. He’s matched that during the 2021 edition, and added some world class sniping as well.
It’s pretty safe to say he’s been one of the top players in the tournament. While this would mostly be talking about his highlights during gameplay, a guy like Zegras has the ability to put together a highlight pack while simply warming up. Ahead of the USA’s semifinal match with Finland, he did just that.
Some may ask why you would be practicing moves like this, which you would hardly ever put to use in a real game. Well, maybe this is why.
It didn’t work, but can you imagine if Zegras pulled off the Michigan while in game! He’d be the Nils Hoglander of 2021!
For the record, we absolutely encourage Zegras to keep showing off. In the meantime, we’ll just be picking our jaws up off the floor.
