The Boston Bruins played two games in Ontario over the weekend and left with four points and a couple of embarrassing moments for their opponents.
Ottawa put up a much better fight than the Leafs did, but one screenshot came out of their game that hockey fans are having some fun with. In a moment where Ryan Donato was streaking down the middle of the ice, it looks like all of the Ottawa defenders just laid on their stomachs. For anyone that plays the NHL video game series, it’s a pretty familiar sight.
Laying down on the ice isn’t totally unusual in the NHL, just seeing every player doing it is more of an NHL 19 move. We’re not sure how effective it is on defence, but we’re very curious about how it would work on offence. If someone could score a goal like this one, we’d be thoroughly impressed.
