And the first overall pick of the 2020 NHL draft goes to... TBD?

A lot of Red Wings fans' hearts were broken on Friday night after their team missed out on the first overall pick in the 2020 NHL entry draft despite owning the best odds in the league heading into the evening at 18.5%. To make matters worse, they didn't receive the number two, or three pick either. Steve Yzerman will select at number four after his team had one of the worst seasons in NHL history, and as you can imagine, fans were not happy with the results.

One in particular, Trash Talk on 88.3 FM WXOU host Tony Dombrowski, let it all out after the order was revealed and it has to be one of the saddest/greatest from the night. Just take a look:

We feel for you Tony, but hey, at least you GM doesn't appear to be too concerned with the outcome?

"We're going to get a great prospect, and how good of a player he becomes, time will tell. So we can sit here today and feel sorry for ourselves if we want, it doesn't matter," Yzerman said via the Red Wings website on a conference call with reporters.

Things could be worse!

There's plenty of talent in this year's draft, so the Wings shouldn't have trouble finding a good player at number four. But Wings fans can't help but feel frustrated with how things panned out, especially since the number one pick is going to a play-in team.
