Ski season is in full swing, and for many that means packing up the truck and hitting the ski resorts before lodge-space fills up. For others it simply means finding a mountain and bringing a pair of skis to the top.
Candide Thovex, a professional freestyle skier from France, would belong to the latter group. He can be seen absolutely crushing mountainous ski runs, and on Tuesday he posted his most beautiful run yet.
With the extremely impressive filming of Aziz Benkrich, Thovex leads the viewer down his snowy playground weaving in and out of massive rock formations and trees, while hopping up different levels in the process. The run, while highly dangerous, is executed with such smooth precision it would have any avid skier watering at the mouth.
The ups and overs and lefts and rights are impressive, but Thovex isn’t afraid to throw down a massive trick from the side of a mountain either. His Instagram is full of clips like this.
That takes a lot of guts to throw something that extreme down while barreling down a mountain, but Thovex doesn’t shy away from the challenge.
