LeBron James has been undeniable in the playoff series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors. After scoring 38 and sinking a bonkers game-winner to move the Cavs to 3-0 in the series, he’s improved his scoring average on the season to 35.7 points (with 11.3 assists to boot!). The King is holding court -- and oh, you can bet the jokes are flying.
After the Cavs’ in-arena DJ coined the term “Bron’s Plan” in a Twitter video that had some fun at Drake’s expense by claiming a blanket ban on Drake’s music while the Raptors were in town, All Def Digital decided to take this concept and run with it. They shared a parody video of Drake’s “God’s Plan” track, but recut with lyrics from LeBron’s perspective.
“Please tell Drake leave me alone,” says the rapper. “From now on it’s LeBronto.” A little corny, but it’s all in good fun! Shouts to the footage from Nike’s outstanding “Training Day” commercial, too.
Somehow, Drake has remained an easy and accessible target for any Raptors opponents trying to get a few extracurricular digs in. Cavs center Kendrick Perkins even ended up in a face-to-face confrontation with the rapper. Basketball astounds.
At any rate, we’ll see how the Raptors rebound. They probably have more on their mind than a “God’s Plan” parody, such as how they’ll stop LeBron freaking James from doing his thing. So far, they are... having some issues.
LeBron’s Plan.
