Fake jerseys are a problem that all sports leagues try to address, but with how the internet works, there are always going to be some floating around.

Fans don’t think anyone is going to notice a difference in most scenarios and sometimes they might be right (Other times you end up with a Giroux Penguins jersey). If people buying fake jerseys don’t want to be exposed, they should probably avoid one thing: Standing next to someone with the real version of your exact jersey.

One fan experienced that at a recent Leafs game.

You can see difference in the lettering (Thicker, more inconsistent font), a smaller Adidas logo, some size differences in the collar and stripes and worst of all is the incorrect colour. Some people may not mind this, but there’s obviously a lot of others that would be driven crazy by the inconsistencies.

Even the proportions all seem different in where the numbers, name and stripes all fall on the jersey and overall it just looks worse. Although, for Islanders fans, they probably just hate both of them.
