Gritty is arguably the most popular mascot in sports and its also probably the most terrifying mascot in sports.
The Flyers' first-year mascot had made its mark on not just the hockey world, but the entire sports world and it's unfortunate the Flyers won't be in the playoffs this season because Gritty in the postseason would have been something else.
There are still two home games left, though, one of which was Sunday against the Rangers and Gritty spent intermission terrifying a child and others.
That child seemed to stop crying as soon as Gritty left. Coincidence? We think not.
Year one of Gritty has been phenomenal and we can't wait to see what year two holds.
