We’ve seen some pretty incredible artwork in our time surveying the internet, but generally, artists are using tools that are designed to, you know, create art. This is a little different.
To pay homage to Floyd Mayweather, artist @bou_bou_design_ decides to paint his portrait with the most fitting tool: A pair of boxing gloves.
Considering how broad the surface area of a boxing glove is, it’s seriously impressive to be able to paint with any precision at all, much less create a lifelike rendering of another person.
We’ve seen this artist take to the task with unusual tools before — it’s sort of a calling card of his to paint with different items as a nod to the subject. He also previously painted a portrait of The Rock with a dumbbell, which is just perfect.
